posticon The Legend of Rage and Warstormary (revised)

A Norse Elder with a long grayish-white sat in his room with a candle light, and his pen and paper in front of him. He wrote: The Legend of Warstormary and Rage.
He began writing, one cold winter night in the year 789 A.D.an expedition pagan Norsemen, from the Land of the North left on an epic journey of conquest. Halfway through their journey a great storm blew them off course killing all the Vikings but the king and his body guards. They landed in a heavily forested area that sat below a majestic mountain always covered by dark thunder clouds. The men gathered their remaining supplies, and headed further inland toward the foot of the mountain. They discovered the land was uninhabited by they had no way home. After several weeks of foraging, King Warstorm was the only one left alive, the others had abandoned their beliefs cursed the Norse gods and fought each other for meager amounts of supplies. Kneeling in the shade of a majestic oak tree, he prayed to the Norse Gods for help. He prayed for 12 hours, before Gilius Thunderhead the twin brother of Thor appeared before him. He spoke, Great King Warstorm, this land shall be yours and shall become prosperous with your descendants. However, you will never be able to return home, everyone will think your expedition was lost at sea. However, your devotion to the Norse Gods even in a time of great peril has earned you a spot on Thunder-mountain with the rest of the Gods. One day your expedition shall return home to the Land of the North as prophecy has foretold it to relieve your people from a time of great trial and strife. It will be up to you to bring peace, prosperity the loyal the Norse gods deserve to your people. The king and Gilius departed to Thunder-Mountain.
Meanwhile back in the land of the North, the King's brother had been waiting for several years for his brother to return home. The Norse elders, starting spreading the myth of the lost expedition foretold in the Norse prophecy. He organized a second expedition to find out what happen to his brother, he sailed for several weeks before finding the wreckage of the king’s boat, the armory. He returned home to tell everyone that the king had been killed in a storm, and told everyone about the new land he discovered which he called Warstormary. He decided he was going to colonize this new land for himself. He organized a massive expedition of soldiers and citizens and sailed to Warstormary, where he set up a thriving colony for over hundred years.
In 890, the colony fell apart and a great plague killed most of the inhabitants. The people had fallen into sin and idol worship. The Norse Gods and King Warstorm were saddened by what they saw. Gilius decided he was going to take a mortal form and try to save the colony from extinction. He appeared washed up on the coast disguised as a tattered shipwrecked old man.
The Norse elder paused, drinking a cup of ale and dunked his pen into a jar of ink and continued his epic. Gilius was rescued by an outcast of the colony who had remained loyal to the Norse Gods. She lived humble pagan life as a wood cutter out in the forest. She gave some food, and water and a bed for the night. Impressed by her kindness and devotion he decided to save the colony by removing everyone but her after he would start a new colony led by her. During the night a great storm washed the entire colony out to sea leaving her alone. The next morning she awake to the destruction and Gilius appearing to her in his true form. She saw him bowed at his feet. Oh Great God of Thunder and Storms I think you for removing the wickedness from the colony. He told her plan, he then presented her with a baby boy, and he said this is my half mortal son Rage, you must raise him and teach him to love nature, love the forest, respect the Gods, and he shall become king of Warstormary on his 18th Birthday. When he turns 18, give him this great ax and this amulet proving his legitimacy to the throne of Warstormary. She did as he told her to.
On June 10, 918 A.D Rage was giving the Great Ax, and amulet of Warstormary was proclaimed king. He vowed to protect this land and to preserve its beauty and pagan culture. From any non-natural force that would seek to disturb or destroy it. King Rage over the next several years created a thriving culture of nature loving Norse woodsmen he had welcomed from the surrounding areas. He built a prayer shrine to his father at the foot of the mountain where he vowed on his father’s Great Ax, and amulet to protect his kingdom, his people, and their way of life form outsides, and urban expansions. He also made Gilius Thunderhead the official God of Warstormary.
The Norse Elder, wrote on the bottom of his page so begins the Legend of Warstormary and Rage, put his pen, down, finished his ale, and blew out his candle, and climbed into bed.

Good start, though I will say it needs a little proofreading. Looking forward to more. ^^
